For our latest client investment update we managed to catch some time with Simon Clements at Liontrust, who is one of the fund managers for its Sustainable Futures range, which today comprises part of our current core investment recommendations to our clients.

We recently introduced this fund into our recommendations as a consequence of the regular fund review and monitoring process that our Investment Committee conducts on behalf of our clients, in our pursuit of ensuring you continually benefit from the best value solutions.

Having monitored the fund for some time, we observed that over a long-time horizon (some 22 years), the fund has exhibited strong performance and very capable management at the hands of Liontrust. Additionally, being an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) focused fund, we believe that it brings an added dimension to the diversity in our client portfolios, to help you manage the risks involved in investing, which we believe is so important, especially during these uncertain times.

The events of 2022 did however more significantly affect the fund than its non-ESG alternatives, and I took some time to discuss all these factors with Simon in the interview. To watch the video please click here.
